The mission, scheduled for a Low Earth Orbit launch in October 2026, will carry experimental payloads designed to test the resilience of commercial off-the-shelf components in space environments.
While the technical scope is significant, the broader ambition is equally notable: Mission ShakthiSAT is set to engage 12,000 girls from 108 countries, offering direct exposure to satellite development and operations—an approach that reflects a growing shift from theoretical STEM education to experiential participation.
